About Apeat AI
Our mission
Apeat exists to solve the Gen Z loneliness epidemic on U.S. college campuses by making it effortless for verified strangers to share a dinner.
We believe friendship-formation in college has become harder, not because people don't want to connect, but because coordination is broken. Apeat removes that friction.
What we do
Apeat Seek is an AI-coordinated social dining platform built for verified .edu students. Tell us when, what, and how much. Our AI matches you with 2–5 like-minded students. Our operations team books the table. You just show up.
Why now
- 64% of college students report regular feelings of loneliness (national surveys, 2024–2025)
- 92% of dinner planning attempts in group chats die before a booking is made
- AI is finally good enough to make zero-coordination matching reliable
